Stream of Passion UK shows canceled

Bad news, I’m afraid. Due to a stupid, ridiculous, asinine bureaucratic technicality, the Mexican members of SoP were denied entry into the UK today. So we have been forced to cancel our two UK shows in Sheffield and London (3 and 4 Feb, respectively).

I’ll be posting ALL the gory details here as soon as I’ve cooled off enough not to say something really nasty that I’ll regret later. But I wanted to help spread the word a.s.a.p. to maximize the chances that anyone who was planning to attend either of the U.K. shows would be able to cancel their travel plans in time. If you know anyone who was planning to attend either show, please let them know that the shows have been canceled.

Frustratedly yours,
Lori

We were already between Dover (where the boat ends) and London. Then we heard Davy say: ‘sorry guys, it’s a no-go….’ :(

So we didn’t think for long, turned the car, bought an extra boatticket (with a reduced price, thank god!) and got back to NL.

800 KM and 11 hours in car later, we’re back :)

Just to say that the Classic Rock Society worked it’s socks off over the past few weeks along with SOP management to make the band’s return to the UK a good one. Unfortunately an oversight has resulted in the cancellation. It is a fact that there are hundreds of illegal workers in the UK and Europe and so it makes this all the incredible that a bunch of Dutch people, a Swede and a van full of equipment and (in theory) be accused of trying to bring three Mexicans in to the UK illegally. The UK sucks for many reasons and why people want to come here I’ll never know. On behalf of the CRS and the band our apologies to all the fans (and I am a big one). I have spoken to the band about rearranging the shows but in the meantime refunds are available if you send us the tickets back. The shows still go ahead in London with Kyrb Grinder and two other bands’ and in Sheffield where Breathing Space have filled the void. Now we have to eat all of the £150′s worth of food and beer that was ordered and paid for in advance. We are going to put on a few pounds while crying in to our beer.
