Heading out the door..
First of all, congrats to Kristof, a regular commenter here, and to Mara Román Lazcano for winning the Banana pic contest! Well freaking done.
I leave here in 30 minutes. The big yellow bag is packed, Delfinius is in place, and I don’t *think* I’m forgetting anything. Both Arjen and I are taking a big chance this time: no spare guitars. In 22 shows I’ve only ever needed a spare, and that was at Borderline when I clumsily bumped into a mic stand when coming back up on stage for the encore. The guitar was so out of tune that the fine tuners wouldn’t fix it. We both thought it was too much hassle to try to bring two guitars plus a suitcase (particularly me, because I’m traveling all alone and it’s just too much to try to carry).
One cool thing I have to share with you before I go. I’m not sure who is meeting me at the airport in Mexico City, but I think it’s somebody I don’t know. I’ve heard a rumor that they will be holding up this sign, so that I know who they are:
I don’t know why, but that totally tickles me!

Judging by the concert poster this seems to be a quite interesting mix of bands (even though I have to admit I do not yet know all of them). Lots of fun touring in Mexico… and try to save the Clumsinator attacks for somewhen later (if at all).
